About
I'm Martijn van der Sijde, an Enterprise Architect working at the intersection of business strategy, organisational change and technology.
I see enterprise architecture primarily as a strategic function: helping organisations make sense of complexity, connect strategic ambitions to the capabilities they need, and shape coherent change across organisation, processes, data and technology. I'm particularly interested in exploring possible futures, making sense of uncertainty and understanding what strategic choices could mean for an organisation.
I started my career as a software engineer, but over time broadened my focus from technology itself to the business and organisational questions around it. That combination of strategic perspective and technological understanding is central to how I approach enterprise architecture today.
This site is a place to explore questions and ideas that interest me — and to develop my own thinking about them. Much of that will probably involve strategy, enterprise architecture, AI and digital transformation. When technology is part of the question, I like to understand it not only conceptually, but through hands-on exploration as well.
